RCP 215 - Respiratory Care Pharmacology Minimum Credit(s) Awarded: 2 Maximum Credit(s) Awarded: 2
Introduces the physiological and pharmacologic basis of cardiopulmonary medications. Preparation, calculation of dosages, mixtures, and general principles of pharmacology will be covered. Students engage in in-depth discussion of bronchoactive drugs and drug groups related to the cardiopulmonary system, such as neuromuscular blocking agents, central nervous system depressants, cardiovascular agents, and diuretics.
Prerequisite(s): Admission to the Respiratory Care Program.
