BUS 100 1J - Mind the Gap: How Confidence Impact Minimum Credit(s) Awarded: 3 Maximum Credit(s) Awarded: 3
Is confidence a trait – or can anyone learn it? Which is more important – confidence or competence? Why do women struggle more than men with feelings of self-doubt? Students will explore the frontiers of organizational behavior and social psychology to answer these questions and to learn about how confidence manifests through hope, optimism, resilience, and self-efficacy to impact the choices people make and the action they take. By understanding how confidence is built (and destroyed) students can foster confidence in themselves and others. In modern organizations, having skill and will is essential, but you must also believe that you can succeed.
