Honors Biology: Cells and Molecules explores the development, concepts, and application of our current understanding of molecular genetics and cell biology. Following completion of this course, students will be better equipped to understand how science works, how DNA enables inheritance and controls the activities of cells, and the relationship of organisms to energy. The course includes: lectures, discussions, and laboratory experiences that are tightly linked as well as discussion of relevant current biological events and exploration of the history of biological thought.

Course Fee: Yes Prerequisite(s): Completion of, or concurrent enrollment in, ENG 110 ; completion of, or concurrent enrollment in,MATH 114A or higher or math placement level 2. Students cannot receive credit for both BIO 181 and BIO 151 , or BIO 155 and BIO 181.
