Using an equity-focused lens, this course examines the application of language-focused instruction across disciplines, especially in secondary education settings. Students learn how to analyze disciplinary texts to reveal language demands. Course prepares students to develop language and literacy-rich environments, promoting choice and voice, digital technologies, and social interactions. Activities focus reflection of student learning and collaboration with families and colleagues.
