This course provides an overview of pedagogical approaches to teaching and learning in bilingual education settings. Students examine characteristics of high-quality bilingual education program models and learn to use data to conduct a critical analysis of curriculum and instruction. Using guiding principles in dual language, students design language-focused pedagogy and authentic assessment that is formative and summative. Instructional plans engage family and community partnerships and social emotional learning through pedagogies of care. Bilingual proficiency required. Cross-listed NO
