Students will acquire basic knowledge and skills needed to work directly with small groups in Human Services. Various forms of group practice, such as task groups, support groups, self-help groups and organizational groups, will be explored. Special attention will be given to the development of groups and to group facilitation skills. Professional values and ethics, as established by the National Association of Social Workers, will be employed as guiding principles to mezzo-practice skills and decisions. Cross-listed PSY 390
