ENVS 323 - Iceland: Science and Sustainability Minimum Credit(s) Awarded: 4 Maximum Credit(s) Awarded: 4
This course is a semester-long preparation for summer travel to Iceland, a country with tremendous natural beauty as well as unique biological and geological systems. The integration of natural science, environmental policy, and history have shaped Iceland’s unique perspective on sustainable practices that we will highlight throughout the term. This preparation course is intended to introduce students to the basic principles of sustainability, natural science, and Icelandic culture, as well as prepare you for travel in the summer (ENVS 324) by setting up projects and activities that will be done during the trip.
