AREDU 680 - Adding K-9 to MC-EA licensure

This course, designed for teachers currently holding a Middle Childhood-Early Adolescence (MC-EA) Regular Education teaching licensure (grades 1-8), will focus on kindergarten (4K and 5K) and 9th grade to expand licensure for the K-9 range. Students are required to complete two practicum experiences in separate placements: 4K or 5K kindergarten (8 hours) and 9th grade (8 hours). Students will be supervised by cooperating teachers who hold the K-9 teaching license or other grade level appropriate licensure and evaluated on the Edgewood College Teacher Education Dispositions. Additionally, students will be required to complete 8 modules encompassing required readings and written assignments.
