ANES 900 - DNP Project Identification Minimum Credit(s) Awarded: 2 Maximum Credit(s) Awarded: 2
In this course, Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) students will identify the root cause of a practice problem related to a specific gap between the evidence-based standard of care and the current nursing practice. This gap will be addressed through the development of a DNP project. Students will analyze the literature related to a specific problem. Students will then identify a theoretical framework based on implementation science to guide the project and use a quality improvement process model to outline an implementation plan. Throughout the course, students will participate in peer and faculty review processes that provide mutual feedback and guidance to refine and revise the proposed project as needed.
