This is an introduction to healthcare policies, including financing, access and delivery of healthcare as it relates to anesthesia. Key issues related to nurse anesthesia will be studied, such as the connection of policies, policy makers and the effects on patients in relation to anesthesia. Access to health care, disparities and the nurse anesthesia workforce policy both on the local and national levels are key topics to be discussed.
