HCA 650  - Quality Improvement & Innovations

This course offers a comprehensive examination of quality improvement principles, methodologies, and best practices for enhancing the effectiveness of healthcare organizations and improving patient outcomes. Students will explore evidence-based quality frameworks, including Lean, Six Sigma, and the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) Model for Improvement, while developing competencies in data-driven decision making, performance measurement, and leading organizational change. Through case studies, practical applications, and collaboration, students will acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to design, implement, and sustain quality initiatives that reduce costs, eliminate waste, and improve healthcare delivery across the continuum of care.
