ANTH 222 GJ - Intro to Cultural Anthropology 4 Credit(s)
This course provides an introduction to the nature and diversity of human society and culture through an examination of specific cross-cultural cases. It includes a comparative study of social, political and economic organization, patterns of religious and aesthetic orientations, gender issues, relations with the natural environment, as well as the process of sociocultural persistence and change. Special consideration will be given to the circumstances faced by contemporary small-scale societies. Cross-listed ETHS 222 .
