ETHS 262 - Foundations of ESL & Bilingual Educ

This course introduces students to the historical, political, and social issues that contributed to the formulation of local, state, and federal educational policies for linguistically and culturally diverse students. The aspects of language acquisition theories as they relate to specific program models are included through a prism of cultural and linguistic relevant pedagogy and educational empowerment through family and community engagement. Prerequisite(s): Preliminary Entry to Teacher Education.
