Additional Requirements

An additional 16 credits of Mathematics courses at the 300 level or above will be selected in consultation with the student’s advisor. Depending on the student’s interests and course availability, some suitable courses in closely related disciplines or taken via the Collaborative Program may be substituted with the approval of the Mathematics Department.

For students majoring in mathematics intending to pursue an initial educator license to teach middle/high school mathematics, it is recommended that the additional courses at the 300-level or above include MATH 441 and MATH 461 . For students interested in actuarial science

Students interested in actuarial science are encouraged to take the following economics courses.
