Core Requirements

Core requirements include twelve (12) credits from the courses below:

• NATS 250 PV - History & Philosophy of Science Minimum Credit(s) Awarded: 3
• NATS 294 2V - Science and Community Engagement Minimum Credit(s) Awarded: 3
• COMMS 260 X - Writing for the Media Minimum Credit(s) Awarded: 3

  Choose one of the following:

• COMMS 290 K - Professional Presentations Minimum Credit(s) Awarded: 3
• COMMS 295 K - Soc Media: Brands, Influencers & Hm Minimum Credit(s) Awarded: 3

Emphasis area requirements

At least 6 credits to be chosen from the following list. Choosing courses within one area of emphasis is recommended, although this is not required.

Additional Requirements

An additional 11 credits in science from one of the following prefixes: BIO, CHEM, PHYS, GEOS, NATS (not including NATS 250  and NATS 294 ).  It is anticipated that most students will earn these credits through completion of the general education curriculum and/or their major.
