The Professional Educator: Generalist Concentration is for educators who would like to pursue continuing education leading to a master’s degree. The Generalist Concentration allows for a distributed focus, offering courses from across graduate program areas so students can tailor a sequence best suited to individualized goals.

Program Requirements
Students will need to complete the 6-credit Research Core and the 9-credit Social Justice Core. Students will also need to complete 15 credits of electives selected from courses at the EDU 600 level or above. Up to six credits may be applied from courses at the 600 level or above from graduate programs outside of the School of Education. Required Research Core
All students seeking the MA in Education must complete the program with the two-course research sequence, AREDU or EDU 790 and AREDU or EDU 792. The courses must be taken in separate semesters (not concurrently). Required Social Justice Core
Students successfully complete any three of the following courses: |
