The Business Administration, Applied Business Research, prepares graduates to assume the role of leader within a variety of business settings. This concentration is beneficial for those who will take on leadership responsibilities with increasing levels of responsibility from senior level management to C-suite roles. This pathway allows students to seamlessly transition from the MBA into the DBA program.

Foundation Requirements

Students should meet with advisor to determine foundational needs. Newly admitted students without an Undergraduate Business major can waive out of a 1-credit Foundational Course based on either (1) Admissions reviewing their UG transcript to ensure course has already been taken or (2) testing out of the course. Foundational courses could be taken simultaneously with MBA core classes with advisor approval.

This group of seven courses serves as the core of the Applied Business Research concentration, developing substantive background and abilities in the functional areas of business. 900 level coursework can be applied toward the DBA degree.
