Political Science majors learn how to analyze and evaluate political behavior, power, conflict, ideologies, laws, policies and institutions. Many of our Political Science majors go on to engage in public service and serve as community and political leaders.
The Political Economy Concentration examines the interaction of political institutions, economic systems, and public policy at both the domestic and global levels. Students study how power, markets, and governance shape outcomes such as inequality, development, trade, and regulation. This concentration is well suited for students interested in public policy, law, economics, international affairs, or graduate study in the social sciences.
