The Design and Development for the Web major is a collaborative offering between Art and Computer Information Sciences. Within this program, students delve into fundamental design principles, creative processes, and critical thinking skills essential for aspiring leaders in digital design or development careers.
Policies
A student majoring in Web Design and Development must complete a minimum of 12 credits in Art and/or CIS courses at Edgewood College. All Art and CS Department courses listed must be completed with a minimum 2.0 or “C” grade. All majors must fulfill the Senior Presentation and Critique requirement in order to obtain Art Department approval for graduation. Students without prior programming experience must take CS 170 prior to CS 176 or obtain the permission of the instructor.

Requirements
The major requires a minimum of sixty-three credits, taken from a selection of courses in Computer and Information Sciences, Communications, Design, Photography, Pigment Mixing, and an elective as follows: Computer and Information Sciences
