Biology Teaching, BS

This major is designed for individuals who wish to be certified to teach biology at the secondary level (Wisconsin Department of Instruction [WDPI] category Early Adolescence through Adolescence, Ages 10-21; WDPI Certification 605).
This major requires completion of the requirements below, the Education Professional Requirements and the licensing requirements for teacher education ( see School of Education ).
A student must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0 in all courses taken toward the major. Any course in which a student receives a grade below “CD” will not be accepted toward the minor. Transfer students must take a minimum of twelve credits of biology at Edgewood College. Transfer courses must be approved by the department.
