This concentration is designed for students who are considering a career in physics or related sciences. Major PoliciesA student must maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.0 in all courses taken to fulfill the major and concentration requirements. Any course in which a student receives a grade below “CD” will not be accepted toward the major. Transfer students must take a minimum of 12 physics credits at Edgewood College. All transfer courses must be approved by the department. Elective courses may be taken through the UW-Madison Collaborative Program or through Madison College Partnerships in Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Design, Renewable Energy, Civil Engineering Technology, or Electromechanical Technology. See your advisor for details. Student who are double majoring in Physics and Chemistry do not have to complete the seminar requirement twice. They can register for either PHYS 480 or CHEM 480.
