Program Description

The Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies provides a foundation in the study of religion grounded in the Dominican-Catholic intellectual tradition, engaging questions of truth through both faith and reason. Students study scripture, theology, and philosophy alongside diverse religious traditions, developing skills in textual analysis, interpretation, and reasoned argument. The program emphasizes the evaluation of competing claims about the divine, human nature, and moral life without reducing them to relativism. As a complement to other disciplines and professional paths, it equips students to bring ethical reflection, clarity of thought, and a deeper understanding of the human person to fields such as healthcare, education, business, law, and public service.
