Complete ALL of the following Courses:

NOTE: Students who intend to major or minor in Mathematics should take MATH 256 concurrently with MATH 241, or as soon as possible thereafter, because it is a pre-requisite for most math courses at the 300- and 400-levels.
In consultation with an advisor, select another 16 credits of Mathematics courses at the 300-level or above. Depending on the student’s interests and course availability, some suitable courses in closely related disciplines available at Edgewood or taken via the Collaborative Program may be substituted with the approval of the Mathematics Department.
A minimum GPA of 2.5 is required in all MATH prefix courses.
All mathematics prerequisites for mathematics courses must be completed with a grade of C or above to satisfy the prerequisite requirement. Courses may only be taken Pass/Fail with the consent of both the instructor and the program leadership.
Courses in mathematics may not be audited.
In order for any mathematics course to count towards any of the mathematics majors or minors, the course must have been completed within five years preceding the date of major/minor declaration. Courses taken prior to that point will be evaluated on an individual basis by the program leadership.
Students pursuing a Mathematics major must take at least three mathematics courses at or above the 300 level at Edgewood University.

With the permission of an advisor, students interested in actuarial science may choose a selection from the following Economics courses:
- 784
- 787
Students majoring in mathematics and intending to pursue an initial educator license to teach middle/high school mathematics, are encouraged to include MATH 441 and MATH 461. Consult with an academic advisor for additional recommendations for mathematics teaching.
